The application of environmental friendly water-based UV ink in advertisements

solvent ink has been widely used in advertisements, but with the progress of society and the improvement of human living standards, people pay more and more attention to efficiency and environmental protection. Therefore, there are two development trends of printing ink: Using environmental friendly and pollution-free solvent ink; Use UV curable ink

UV ink has the advantages of fast drying, less land occupation, energy saving, good stability on the plate, and no environmental pollution. It is the development trend of ink, and will also be the main type of ink used in advertising printing in the future. However, when the solvent ink turns to UV ink, because there is no solvent volatilization after UV ink printing, and the thickness of the ink layer is rarely reduced after drying, under the same printing conditions, the thickness of the ink layer of UV ink is twice as thick as that of the solvent oil to strengthen the source of plastic waste and reuse ink, which will not have any impact on monochrome printing, but for dot printing, when printing the third or fourth color, especially the fourth color, Due to the obvious thickening of the ink layer after color superposition, the surface of the substrate is uneven. Under a certain pressure of the scraper, the ink flows to the concave, resulting in dot expansion. There is hue distortion caused by dot expansion, and solvent based inks are thinned due to a large amount of solvent volatilization. At the same time, in overprint, part of the solvent of the next layer of ink penetrates into the previous layer of ink, and most of the solvent volatilizes, and the thickness is thinned by more than half, so it will not be thinned slightly after drying like UV inks, so the back layer of UV inks will flow away during overprint

in order to solve this problem, after years of careful research and development, the American nazdar company, an agent of Sanhe international, developed a new ink - Water-based UV ink hu000 series, which can solve the problem of the dispersion of ordinary UV ink in the overprint process. Its characteristics and application technology are briefly described as follows:

1. Characteristics

1. Because it contains water and 5% environmental protection solvent, the water evaporates after curing, and the ink layer is thinner. Therefore, it can simplify the preparation of the prototype part. It has the advantages of thin ink layer after solvent based ink drying, fast drying of UV ink, environmental protection, etc

2. It is suitable for modern printing equipment, with low curing energy, which can reduce the cost and heat of the substrate, and the surface is hard after curing. With high-density dot color, it is suitable for indoor and outdoor advertising fields, such as back light Advertising and front light advertising. The color is bright, high-definition, and there is no shadow around the dot. Especially the printing of the fourth color has a good point sharpness effect

3. It is a one component light curing ink, which does not contain NVP or heavy metals

II. The process parameters of hu000 series water-based UV curing ink

adjust the toothed rod to zero

1. Process parameters. Substrate: synthetic paper (such as Yupo), PS, hard PVC, vinyl materials, paper and cardboard. Silk: mesh/cm monofilament polyester. Version: solvent resistant photosensitive adhesive or thin capillary film. Scraper: °. Additives: hu180 diluent, hu193 adjusting paste, hu349 thinning agent, hu350 light oil

2. Printing skills

① Hu series is used in the field of back lighting advertising, with high color density. Hu350 light oil can be added to adjust the color density. If you need to adjust the viscosity and leveling, you can add about 8% u193 adjusting paste or about 2% hu180 diluent. However, the ink should be fully stirred before printing

② Hu series has two kinds of dotted red (one is blue and one is red), two kinds of dotted yellow (one is green and one is red), blue and green are cold colors, and red is warm colors. How to use two kinds of red and two kinds of yellow? There are many kinds of white background, yellow and blue. The same color printed on different substrates has different effects. If the base material is yellow, you should choose the yellow that is yellow and the red that is blue; If the base material is blue, choose red yellow and red

if the substrate is cold, it should be warm; If the substrate is warm, choose cold. The same painting is printed on different substrates. To achieve the desired effect, you should choose different colored dot inks

generally speaking, if printing trees and other natural scenery, choose green yellow and blue red; If printing people and food, especially warm color paintings such as wearing swimsuits and sunset, it is better to use warm colors such as reddish yellow and reddish red

3. Curing. A medium pressure mercury lamp with focusing cover, 200w/in, transmission speed 20m/min

III. precautions

1. The ink must be thoroughly stirred before use

2. If the ink layer is still not thin enough to cause dot expansion, hu349 thinning agent can be added to the first and second colors

3. Under the same printing conditions, because the UV ink layer is thicker than the solvent ink layer, you can adjust the process of the negative point before making the plate, or select a higher mesh wire or a single-sided flattening wire for UV ink when making the plate

4. Requirements for photosensitive layer on the plate. ① Thin capillary photosensitive film or indirect five-star red photosensitive film is used to make plates. ② Use photosensitive adhesive to make version 5.15. Load the inner size of the frame: according to the customer's requirements; In addition to using yellow pet, the thickness of the photosensitive adhesive layer and the unevenness of the surface should also be controlled less than 4um to improve the sharpness of the points

5. Test the printing conditions before use, and test the performance of the ink after the printed matter is placed for 24 hours
